THE BAND

Samhain was Glenn Danzig's project between the Misfits and his eponymous solo band — formed in 1983, the same year as the debut EP this hoodie is named for. Initium is where the horror punk of the Misfits darkened into something more gothic, more occult, and more directly influenced by the heavy metal Danzig would fully embrace on his 1988 debut. Eerie Von on bass. Steve Zing on drums. Four musicians making the sound of one chapter ending and another beginning.
The Initium EP is foundational to American horror punk and the lineage that runs from the Misfits through Samhain to Danzig. This pullover carries that lineage.
